You’d expect that ultramodern ingredients at the cutting edge of skin care research would be providing the answers to better anti aging products. However the reverse is in fact the case, and so many ingredients that have been used for centuries may well be the best way to ensure the best health for your skin. Seaweed and sheeps wool are 2 good examples.

What do sheep and seaweed have to do with skin aging? In fact there has been a seaweed skin care link for hundreds of years. For centuries Japanese women have used seaweed for great skin care.

Seaweed, and in particular Phytessence Wakame, a particular type of seaweed found around the coast of Japan, has been eaten by the Japanese for centuries. And it is no coincidence that Japanese women have some of the best looking skin in the world as they age. And the Japanese have known about the seaweed skin care link for a long time.

And they have always prized Phytessence Wakame for it’s skin care properties.

Cutting-edge science has now found why this ancient ingredient is so good for your skin, and as a result there are some excellent seaweed extract skin products now available. The reason has to do with enzymes. There is one enzyme in particular, called hyaluronidase, which breaks down collagen and elastin which are big components of your skin.

And collagen and elastin are 2 proteins which are extremely important in maintaining skin elasticity. Skin elasticity is what keeps your skin strong yet supple and which is responsible for keeping wrinkles and skin sagging away. So if hyaluronidase is breaking down your collagen and elastin you do not want that.

Science has found that there are some important components of Phytessence Wakame that help inhibit the actions of this enzyme and this improves the levels of collagen and elastin in your skin can in turn lead to better skin elasticity and less wrinkles.

So that’s the seaweed but what about the sheep? There may be a seaweed skin care link but what in the world do sheep have to do with it?

Again it’s all about those 2 important proteins collagen and elastin. Modern scientists have also found that there are components in the wool of sheep which help the skin produce more collagen and elastin by itself. This also helps maintain levels of collagen and elastin in the skin as you age, and a new product, called Cynergy TK, is the result. It’s actually a patented ingredient that is used in the best skin care products.

So as you can see there is a clear seaweed skin care link, and sheeps wool is a big part of it. As a result there are some excellent seaweed extract skin care products available using extracts of Phytessence Wakame as well as Cynergy TK.

You can find out where to source these products on my website.
